Welcome, friend!
I’m Jenn!
I was born in Chengdu, China, but grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. I grew up traveling with my family, lived in a couple different US states, and I now live with my husband and cat in Sweden.
I started this blog as a personal journal to document my experiences living abroad and reflect on the little differences I encounter along the way. I also want to share advice on destinations, and provide insights I wish I had before visiting certain places.
Culture, customs, and traditions have always fascinated me. So much so that I minored in Anthropology during my undergraduate studies to better understand how cultures and societies evolve. I love learning about how different communities and countries approach life—it’s a reminder that there’s no single “right” or “normal” way of living.
Environmental sustainability is another passion of mine. I recently earned a Master’s in Environmental Science and Policy, and you’ll likely see posts where I explore the intersection of travel and sustainability.
If there’s anything you’d like to see me write about—whether it’s living in Scandinavia, travel tips, female solo travel, or destination advice—let me know!
XO, Jenn
